As the older students in the Yeshiva, the Shana Bet boys are in a class of their own, literally and figuratively. Returning for another year is not an easy decision and the courage it takes to commit to yet another year of learning is truly exemplary. This year, Rabbi Adam Abraham has taken the helm of the Shana Bet program along with Rabbi Avraham Malka and together they are working tirelessly to make it a once in a lifetime chance to learn, enjoy and be inspired.

This past week, the Shana Bet boys had a Shabbaton in the Holy city of Tzfat. They headed out on Thursday to a stunning villa with an indoor pool and a Jacuzzi. A scrumptious barbecue and a beautiful kumzits awaited and the evening ended on a true spiritual high. Erev Shabbat found some boys touring Tzfat and making last minute errands with other boys enjoying the pool and chilling around the villa. The climax of the Shabbat was the Friday night meal where, spontaneously, each boy got up and shared a thought. Some spoke on the Parsha, some on what inspired them throughout the past few months and others just expressed their deep appreciation to Hashem for being granted the opportunity to learn and grow in Lev Aharon. The Rabbis and their families were touched by the emotional messages and sitting amongst the boys, the wonderful camaraderie and special atmosphere made it a truly magnificent Shabbat. We thank the Rabbis for arranging such a tremendous trip and with hearts full of gratitude and pride, we thank our Shana Bet for making it such a special Shabbat.
